Constantine
Godwin Roger Constantine is a pioneering Performance Artist in Sri Lanka. He is a Cardiologist by profession and also holds a BA in Philosophy from the University of London and a MA in Tamil from the University of Madras. He is a Literary Critic and writer and has published and lectures in both Tamil and English. Constantine is a member of the Vibhavi Academy of Fine Arts and the Founder treasurer – Theertha International Artists’ Collective. Among his Exhibitions are Images and Identity: An Event – Interface between and Art and Literature at the Bowery Poetry Club, New York; Aham-Puram, Group Exhibition, Jaffna Public Library; “Requiem” – Arts Lab, Gallery and Studio Theater – Leeds Metropolitan University; An Exhibition for Peace and Reconciliation – January 2000 Gallery 706, Colombo; Harmony, Group Exhibition, Indian Cultural Centre, Colombo; Existence, Solo Exhibition. VAFA Gallery, Ethul Kotte and the No Group Exhibition, VAFA Gallery, Ethul Kotte. His most recent Exhibition was at the Colombo Art Biennale – Imagining Peace 2009.
