CURATOR TALK AND PRESENTATION by Theertha’s resident curator and Art writer Meenakshi Thirukode Meenakshi Thirukode is a writer, researcher and curator currently working in that capacity with Exhibit 320 in New Delhi, India. Prior to her move, Meenakshi was based in New York for 8 years, working on curatorial projects both, within the US and in India. She was recently the Creative Director at Dakshinachitra (Chennai, India), a leading heritage museum focusing on the culture of South India. She has contributed to various publications including Depart Magazine, Hyperallergic, The Hindu Newspaper, Whitewall Magazine, Art Asia Pacific, Art India, Art and Deal Magazine, Art Journal, Artmap Magazine (China), Of Note Magazine and Grassroots Literature Blog. Thirukode is the founding member and co-curator of Project For Empty Space, a public art initiative that brings art into abandoned and unusual urban spaces with a focus on community building and art education. Thirukode served on the board of SAWCC (South Asian Womens Creative Collective) and Christie's Alumni Society Board, Christie's, NYC. Meenakshi is a member of PRACForum (New Delhi), AICA (International Association of Art Critics) as well as IKT (International Association of Contemporary Art Curators).
